So the vote by which, said resolutions had been passed, wags reconsidered. The question then recurring upon the passage of the reso- lutions, Mr. Duvall submitted the following amendment: Insert after the word "State," the words "or employ coun- sel, as he may deem proper." Pending which, On motion of Mr. Streett, The further consideration thereof was postponed, and he-resolutions, with pending amendment, made the order of the- day for to-morrow. The House then proceeded to the consideration of the or- ders of the day. The bill, entitled, an Act to repeal sections 47, 48 and 50, of Article XVI., of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Prince George's County," under the head of collections, enacted by the Act of 1868, chapter 330, and sections 44, 45,. 49, 55 and 56, of said Article XVI., under same head, en- acted by the Act of 1870, chapter 216, and to repeal sections. 37, 49, SO, 56 and 57, of Article LXXXL, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Revenue and Taxes," in so far as the same "may relate to Prince George's county, and to re-enact the following as sections 44, 45, 47 48, 49, 50, 55 and 56, of Article XVI., of the Code of Public Local Laws,, title "Prince George*^ County," under head of Collectors,, in their stead, Being upon a second reading. Mr. Scott submitted the following amendment: |
