782 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 12,
Mr. Shipley, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to add additional sections to the
Code of Public Local Laws, Article III., title "Baltimore
County," in relation to trespass.
Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to legalize and confirm the Acts of
the County Commissioners of Baltimore county.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Chaisty, Chairman on the part of the House on the
Joint Select Committee on Ship Canal, submitted the follow-
ing report:

Which was read, and,
On motion of Mr. Chaisty,
Two thousand copies ordered, to be printed.
On motion of Mr. Travers,
The House proceeded to the consideration of,
The Joint Resolutions, authorizing and requesting the
Governor to employ counsel to defend those citizens of Anne
Arundel county who, as registers and judges of election,
have been indicted in the United States District Court of
Maryland, for alleged violation of the Enforcement Act,
during the last general election in this State.
The question recurring upon the notice given by Mr*
Travers, on yesterday, that he would this day move a recon-
sideration of the vote by which said. resolutions were passed,
Mr. Travers thereupon moved that the vote by which said
resolutions had been adopted, be reconsidered.
The question recurring upon concurring in the motion,
Mr. Miller demanded the yeas and nays.
The demand being sustained, the yeas and nays were
called, and appeared as follows:
