On motion of Mr. Whitson,
Leave was granted to the Washington delegation to intro-
duce a bill to authorize the Commissioners of Washington
county to borrow money and issue bonds for the purpose of
building a new Court House.
On motion of Mr. Linthicum,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill, entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay the claim of Seta W. Warfield, late Collector of State
Taxes.in Howard county.
On motion of Mr. Badcliffe,
Leave waa granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to authorize and direct the Comptroller and
State's Attorney of Dorchester county to stay all proceedings
in a suit now pending against O. B. Frazier in the Circuit
Court of said county, to recover a bounty of one hundred dol-
lars erroneously paid him.
On motion of Mr. Banks,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill legalizing and confirming the acts of the
County Commissioners of Baltimore county.
, On motion of Mr. Newcomer,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to repeal chapter 394 of the Laws of 1870,
relating to the exemption of mortgages from taxation.
On motion of Mr. Ford of Queen Anne's, ^
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to amend the charter of the Kent and Queen
Anne's Railroad Company. ^
On motion of Mr. Henkle,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill for the relief of B. Alien Welch, late In-
spector of Warehouse, No. 2, in Baltimore City.
Mr. Colton, Chairman of the .Committee on Claims, re-
ported
A bill, entitled an Act for the relief of Mrs. Marcia O'Hara
and the heirs of the late Isaac Mayo, deceased, from the er-
roneous assessment of their property, and to refund taxes
paid in error, and asked to be discharged from the further
consideration thereof,
The Committee were accordingly discharged, when,
