Leave was granted to the Cecil delegation to report a bill,
authorizing the Commissioners of Cecil county, to re-assess
the real estate of Emma Reed.
On motion of Mr. Linthicum,
Leave was granted to the Howard delegation, and
Mr. dark, of Montgomery, to introduce a bill, entitled.
an Act to repeal section 8, of Article XIII., of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Howard County," sub-ti-
tle "County Commissioners," as amended by the Act of
1868, chapter 395, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Parker,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Parker, Markland, and
Johnson, to introduce a bill, adding an additional section to
Article XXIII, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Worcester County," sub-title "Newtown."
On motion of Mr. Harig,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Colton, of Baltimore city,
McCosker, Cooper, McColgan, and Harig, to introduce a bill,
to authorize the Mayor and. City Council of Baltimore, to
widen and deepen the ship channel of the Patapsco river, be-
tween the mouth of said river and said city, and to appro-
priate a sum of money therefor.
On motion of Mr. Henkle,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims, to report
a bill, to refund to B. Duncan Smith, late Tax Collector in
Anne Arundel county, taxes paid in error.
On motion of Mr. Streett,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill, to repeal sections 50 and. 61, of Article
LXXXL, of the Code of Public General taws, title "Reve-
nue and Taxes," sub-title "Direct Taxes," and to amend
and re-enact the same.
On motion of Mr. Turner,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
repeal sub-section two, of chapter 941, passed at January
Session, 1870, relating to water, in Baltimore county.
On motion of Mr. Griswold,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill, to add a new section to Article IV., of .the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Baltimore City," said sec-
tion to be entitled "Preservation and Proof of Legal Notices."
On motion by Mr. Duvall,
