Mr. McCosker presented the petition of Wm. A. Jolley,
for the return of money paid for license as an oyster measurer
under the law of 1870.

Mr. Colton, of Baltimore City, presented Resolutions of
the Board of Trade of Baltimore City.
Which were read and referred to the Select Committee

Mr. Chaisty submitted the following, order:
Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal of Proceed-
ings, that the members of this House have heard with senti-
ments of unfeigned regret of the startling and unexpected
death of their courteous, polite and attentive page. Henry F.

On motion of Mr. Griswold,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Griswold, dark, of Baltimore
City, and Turner, to introduce a bill to compel the Northern
Central Railway Company to station a flagman at the point
where their Railroad crosses the York Turnpike, at Cockeys-
ville, and other stations in Baltimore county.
On motion of Mr. Linthicum,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Linthicum, German, and
Clark of Montgomery, to introduce a bill, entitled an Act to
repeal section 6, of Article XIII., of the Code of Public Lo-
cal Laws, title "Howard County," sub-title "County Corn'
missioners," and to re-enact the same with amendments.
