Mr. Markland presented the petition of Eve Parker, for a
pension, war 1812.
Also,
The petition of Elizabeth Watters, for a pension, war
1812.
Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.
Mr. J. H. Hamilton presented the petition of Robert
Ling, asking the Legislature to restore him to his branch in
the Pilot Association.
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore City dele-
gation.
Mr. Banks presented the petition of citizens of the Fourth
District of Baltimore county, asking that money be refunded
those who furnished substitutes in the draft of 1864.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Goldsborough presented the petition of Theresa Baker,
widow, and Margaret A. Turner, widow, for pensions.
"Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-sions.
Mr. Chaisty presented a petition from W. T. Walters
& Co., and seventy-six other merchants of Baltimore City,
asking the continuance of the present law on inspection of
flour, with amendments.
Also,
A petition from H. Camper & Co., and thirty-two
bankers of the City of Baltimore, in favor of the re-enactment
of Flour Inspection Laws.
Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Inspections.
Mr. dark, of Montgomery, presented -the petition of
Thomas Lansdale, Samuel Riggs, Jr., G. W. Hyatt, and
forty other citizens of Montgomery county, praying the Gene-
ral Assembly to pass a law ratifying and confirming an
Act passed at January Session, 1870, authorizing the County
Commissioners of Montgomery county, to subscribe to the
capital stock of turnpike companies in said county.
Which was read and referred to the Montgomery delega-
tion.
Mr. Miller presented the petition of -M. L, Day, Nicholas
Hammond, and fifty-four other citizens of New Market Dis-
