730 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 8, the deceased; and we propose, with the concurrence of your Honorably Body, as a testimonial of respect to the memory of the deceased, and of our earnest sorrow for his untimely demise, that the two houses of the General Assembly, when they adjourn to-day, stand adjourned until Monday next, at 'twelve o'clock, M.; and that the members of both Houses wear the usual badge of morning for the usual time. On motion of Mr. Cotton, of Baltimore City, The House proceeded to the consideration of the order, which wa this morning rejected; that when the House ad- journ, to-day, it stand adjourned until Monday next, at 11 o'clock, A. M. On motion of Mr. Colton, of Baltimore City, the vote by which said order had been rejected, waa reconsidered. The question then recurring upon the adoption of the order, It was adopted. Mr. Colton, of Baltimore City, submitted the follow mes- sage: BY THE HOUSE Of DELEGATES, March. 8, 1873. Gentlemen of the Senate: We have received the message from your Honorable Body, announcing the death of the Hon. G. Fred. Maddox, since the adjournment of the Senate of 1870, of which he was an honored and honorable member, and requesting this House, in respect to the memory of the deceased, to adjourn until Monday next, and respectfully concur therein.
