Also, favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act authorizing the Middletown and
Elkton Railroad Company, incorporated under the provisions
of the General Corporation Law, being chapter 476, of the
Laws of 1870, to charge a greater rate for tolls and
transportation of persons and freight than is allowed therein,
and to form a union with the Middletown and Elkton Rail-
road Company, incorporated by the General Assembly of the
State of Delaware, by chapter 143, of the Laws of 1871, so
that the capital stock of the said companies, respectively,
shall form a common stock.
Which was read a first time.
Also, unfavorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Hannis
Distilling Company of Philadelphia and Baltimore City, a
corporation of the City of Baltimore, incorporated under the
Act of 1868, chapter 471.
And the report was adopted.
Also, reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Keedys-
ville, in Washington county.
Which was considered.
Mr? Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
to whom was referred
The Senate bill, entitled an Act further amendatory of
the Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Lanaconing Ocean
Coal Mining and Transportation Company, passed January
Session, 1853, chapter 192, as already amended by a change
of the name of the said corporation to the Ocean Steam
Coal Company, by the Act of 1856, chapter 136,
Reported back the same with proposed amendments, as a
substitute therefor.
Mr. McColgan, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A. bill, entitled an Act to provide for the renewing of the
indexes to the Land Records of Baltimore City, from the
years 1852 to 1864, inclusive. '
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Groome, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to vest certain property therein
mentioned, in the Westminster Presbyterian Church, of
Kent county.
