Which was read and referred to the Committee on Man-
ufactures.
Mr. Vickers presented the petition of S. S. Ewell and oth-
ers, asking an Act to authorize the County Commiasioners of
Dorchester county, if they, in their judgment so determine,
to re-assess the farm of Charles T. Ralph, purchased of Eliz-
abeth Ball, lying in District No. 3, in said county.
Which was read and referred to the Dorchester delegation.
Mr. Newcomer presented the petition of Fred. Betts, Ma-
thias Wallich, Jos. Sigtet, Elizabeth Coy, Susan West,
Rezin Cretzer, and Catharine Cross, asking for pensions.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Ford, of Queen Anne's, presented the petition of
Joseph Catlin, Geo. W. Smith, and forty-four others, asking
for a law authorizing the voters of Queen Anne's county to
determine, by ballot, whether or not alcoholic or fermented.
liquors shall be sold within the limits of any district of said
county.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Way
and Means.
Mr. Spencer presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Pikesville, for a law prohibiting the sale of intoxicating
drinks.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. McColgan presented the petition of J. W. Langley,
for return of license overpaid the State.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Mr. Chaisty presented a petition from Kirkland, Chase
& Co., A, Schumacher & Co., and others, merchants of the
City of Baltimore, against any change in the present pilot
laws of this State.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on that
subject.
Mr. Coles presented the petition of Joseph Fustenberg, and
other citizens of Allegany county, against the passage of the
Act to legalize the bequest of Andreas Steinlim, to the St.
Peter's and St. Paul's Catholic Church, of Cumberland, Alle-
gany county.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.
