Ordered, That the House of Delegates will, at this Session.
of the General Assembly, consider no bill which may origi-
nate in the House of Delegates, unless the bill itself (and not
the leave only,) shall have been introduced and. filed. at the-desk of the Clerk of this House, on or before the 22nd of
March, inst., unless two-thirds of the members elected to this"
House, shall so determine by yeas and nays.
Which was read, and
On motion of Mr. Stone,
The further consideration thereof postponed until to^mor^
row, Friday, 9th inst.
Mr. Duvall submitted the following order :
Ordered, That the officers of the House of Delegates, for
their services during the present Session, shall severally re-
ceive the same per diem allowed them at the last Session, or
that of 1870; and the messenger to the Printing Committee,
an additional officer, appointed during the present Session,.
shall receive a per diem, of five dollars.
Which, was read.
On motion of Mr. H, H. Lamotte,
Leave was granted to the Carrol delegation to introduce
a bill for the better protection of birds in Carroll county.
On motion of Mr. Penington,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to refund to Ellen Hevalo, a certain sum erro-neosly demanded of her by the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Cecil county, for a license, and paid by eaid Clerk into.
the Treasury.
On motion of Mr. Groome,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to"
introduce a bill to repeal sections from 141 to 164, of Arti-
cle VIII., of the Code of Public Local Laws, both. inclusive,
title "Cecil County," and relating to Port Deposit, and to-
re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Groome,
Leave was- granted to the Cecil delegation to introduce a
bill authorizing the County Cominissioners of Cecil county
to correct the assessment to George Simpson's real estate.
On motion of Mr. Hardcastle,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to report a bill for a re-valuation and re-assessment of the
real and personal property -within this State.
