On motion of Mr. Groome, ,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill authorizing the Middletown and Easton Rail-
road Company, incorporated under the provisions of the Gen-
eral Corporation Law, being chapter 476 of the Laws of 1870,
to charge a greater rate for tolls and transportation of per-
eons and freight, than is allowed thereto, and to form a union
with the Middletown and Easton Railroad Company, incorpo-
rated by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware, by
chapter 143, of the Laws of 1871. so that the capital stock
of the said Companies, respectively, shall form a common
stock.
On motion of Mr. Staylor,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections to in-
troduce a bill to regulate the inspections of flour in the City
of Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Turner,
Leave wa granted to the Baltimore County delegation to
introduce a bill incorporating the Baltimore County Water
Company.
On motion of Mr. dark, of Baltimore City,
Leave wan granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to approve and confirm an ordinance of the
"City of Baltimore, approved on the 24th of June, 1871, en-
titled "An ordinance to condemn and close McElderry street,
between Register and Wolfe streets, and Ann street between
Jefferson and Monument streets, and all streets, lanes and
alleys, comprised within the whole grounds, bounded on the
north by Monument street, on the south by Jefferson street,
on the east by Wolfe street, and on the west by Register
street.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
(introduce a bill to prevent nuisances within two miles of
Baltimore City.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to amend the Code of Public General Lays,
Article XXIV., section 46, relating to conveyancing.
Mr. Young, of Washington, from the Committee on Cor-
porations, to whom was referred
The bill, entitled an Act supplementary to an Act entitled.
an Act-to incorporate the Queenstown and Harrington Railway
Company, chapter 354, passed March 22d, 1869.
