Section 5, line i, after the word "Baltimore," insert the following: "But not until the consent of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore has been first obtained." Which was adopted. Mr. Turner submitted the following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Section 5, line 3, strike out the words "and a half." Which was adopted. The bill as amended was then read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill, entitled an Act for the protection of, and to reg- ulate the time and manner of, catching and taking fish and terrapins in that portion of the Potomac River between Maryland Point, in Charles county, and Chiseldine's Island, in St. Mary's county, Being upon a second reading, (Mr. Smith in the Chair,) Mr. Chapman submitted the following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED. After section 3, insert the following as ax additional sec- tion, to be section 4 : Section- 4. Upon information given upon oath to any Jus- tice of the Peace of the county oi Charles, of any violation of any of the provisions of this Article, he shall issue his warrant for the arrest of the offender or offenders, which shall be directed to-.the Sheriff or any Constable of the county, to be dealt with according to law ; and in such war- rant it shall not be necessary to name any such offender or offenders, or the owner of any such property, but if. shall fee sufficient to describe him or them as a person or person's guilty of violating the law, without naming such person or persons. Which was adopted. The bill as amended was then read a second time, nd ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill, entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-enact the Act entitled an Act to revive the Act of incorporation of the town of Salisbury, in Somerset and Worcester counties, chapter 356, of Public Local Laws for Somerset county, |
