So the vote by which the order was adopted,
Was reconsidered.
The question then recurring upon the adoption of the order,
It was rejected.
Mr. Young/of Allegany (the rules being suspended) sub-
mitted the following order:
Ordered, That Mr. Robinette be granted leave of absence
for a few days in order to recruit his health.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Streett submitted the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 11th, 1872.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We propose, with the concurrence of } our Honorable Body,
the appointment of a joint committee consisting of three
members of the House of Delegates, and two members of the
Senate, to inform Hon. John W. Davis, of his election of
State Treasurer, for two years, from and after the day of his
qualification as such.
We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs.
Street, Litzinger, and Porter.
By order,
MILTON Y. KIDD,
Chief Clerk.
Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
Mr. Chapman, at his own request, was excused from serv-
ing as chairman of the Committee on En grossed Bills, yet
. continued as a member of said Committee.
Mr. Kirk was appointed chairman.
On motion of Mr. Penington,
At 3 o'clock, P. M., the House adjourned.
