The committee appointed by the Senate and House of Dele- gates to count the votes cast for Treasurer of Maryland, beg leave to report that the votes cast by the Senate were in num- ber 25; the vote casts by the House of Delegates were in number 80, making in all 105, of which number, John W. Davis received ninety-two votes, and Joseph Shriver thirteen votes. We therefore respectfully report that, John W. Davis hav ing received the largest number of votes, is returned by the committee as elected to the office of Treasurer of Maryland. DANIEL FIELDS, WM. O, SELLMAN,. K. GRISWOLD, ANDREW BANKS. Whereupon, the Speaker declared that John W. Davis. having received a majority of all the votes cast, was duly elected Treasurer of the State of Maryland, for the term pre- scribed by the Constitution. Mr, Spencer moved the reconsideration of the vote by which the order submitted by him 'this morning that the House when it adjourn it stand adjourned until, Monday next was . adopted.
