On motion of Mr. Scott, Leave was granted the Prince George's delegation to introduce a bill to tax dogs and to protect sheep in Prince George's county. On motion of Mr. Streett, Leave was granted to the Harford delegation to introduce a bill to repeal sections 25 and 26 of the Code of Public Lo- cal Laws, Article XII, title "Harford County," and to re-enact the same with amendments, authorizing the appoint- ment or election of a County Treasurer. On motion of Mr. Miller, Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to introduce a bill, entitled an Act to amend Article XLV. of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to married women. On motion of Mr. Scott, Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to introduce a bill to extend the jurisdiction of Justices of the Peace of Prince George's county. On motion of Mr. T. II. Hamilton, Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in- troduce a bill, entitled an Act to revise and extend the Act passed at December Session, 1828, chapter 7, entitled an Act to incorporate the "Baltimore Screw Dock Company." On motion of Mr. Duvall, Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in- troduce a bill to protect society from possible harm, from per- sons indicted and tried for murder in the Courts of this State, and acquitted upon the plea of insanity, by providing for their confinement in institutions, especially devoted to the management and treatment of the insane. On motion of Mr. L. A. J. Lamotte, Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to introduce a bill to repeal Section 5, Article LI. of the General Laws, relating to Justices of Peace, and re-enact the same with amendments : On motion of Mr, Parker, Leave was granted to Messrs. Franklin, Parker and John- son, to introduce a bill for the better protection of fish, oysters, clams and terrapins in Synapuxent Bay and its tributaries. On motion of Mr. Foster, |
