enitled "An Ordinance for the extension of Patters on Park,"
approved June 23rd, 1871.
On motion of Mr. Bond,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries to introduce a bill to amend section
22 of Article XLI. of the Code of Public General Laws, en-
titled "Fish and Fisheries," under the head of "Patuxent,"
regulating the right of fishing in the Patuxent River and
its tributaries.
On motion of Mr- Langrell,
Leave was granted to the Wicomico delegation and Mr.
Butler, of Talbot, to report a bill establishing a fence law
for Wicomico county.
On motion of Mr. Waller,
Leave was granted to the Somerset delegation to introduce
a bill to regulate the trial fees of the State's Attorney for
Somerset county.
On motion of Mr. Spencer,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill allowing to parties on trial in capital
cases "Bills of Exceptions," in the same manner as now al-
lowed in civil cases.
On motion of Mr. Bond,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries to introduce a bill to repeal the
provisions of Article LXXI. of the Code of Public General
Laws, entitled "Oysters," as amended and re-enacted by
the Act of 1870, which require a license for the taking and
catching of oysters with rakes or tongs.
On motion of Mr. Steele,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill to amend the Charter of the Liberty and
New Windsor Turnpike Company in Frederick and Carroll
counties.
On motion Mr. Olark, of Balt city,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill to repeal section 2, of Article LXIV of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to Mortgages,,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
