448 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 20,
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Jamart submitted the following order :
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that Thomas
H. Hamilton is absent on account of a death in his family.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Franklin submitted the following order :
Ordered, That on and after Thursday next, the daily hour
of meeting of the House shall be eleven o'clock.
Which was read.
Mr. Deweese submitted, the following order :
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal of this House
that Dr. Hardcastle is absent from his seat by reason of
thickness in his family.
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Newcomer,
Leave was granted the Washington [county delegation to
report a bill to establish a Bank in the town of Boonsboro',
Washington county.
On motion of Mr. Miller,
Leave was granted the Frederick delegation to introduce
a bill, entitled an Act to lay out and establish a new Election
District in Frederick county,) out of portions of New Market
District, No; 9, and Liberty District No. 8, to be called
Woodville District, or Election District No. 18.
On motion of Mr. Kirk,
Leave was granted to the Select Committee on that sub-
ject to introduce a bill to repeal chapter 384 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January
Session, 1864, which was an Act to repeal and amend sec-tions 420 and 422, of Article IV., of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Baltimore City, sub-title " Hay and Straw," and
' to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Clark, of Baltimore City,
Leave was granted to Messrs, dark, Chaisty and Markland, to introduce a bill to repeal sections 151, 152, 153,
and 154, of Article IV., of the Code of Public Local Law,
entitled "Corners and Inquests in the City of Baltimore,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Rowe,
Leave was granted the Frederick delegation to introduce
