a bill, entitled an Act to establish a law for outside fences in
Emmittsburg District, in Frederick county.
On motion of Mr. Scott,
Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to introduce a bill to repeal section 2, of Article XXX.. of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Crimes and Punish-
ments," sub-title "Defaulters," approved April 4th, 1870,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. L. A. J. Lamotte,
Leave wag granted the CarroII delegation to intro-
duce a bill, to repeal the Act of 1868, chapter 112, entitled
an Act to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road
from the city of Westminster to the Baltimore and Liberty
roads.
On motion of Mr. Spencer,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore County delegation to
introduce a bill repealing the Charter of Hall's Turnpike
Road Company.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,,
Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 65, Article XIX.
of the Code of Public General Laws, of Somerset county, re-
lating to the number of Justices of the Peace and Constables
for said county, and to re-enact the same with amendments,
Was read a first time and referred to the Somerset delega-
tion.
Mr. Dougherty, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably the above bill.
Mr. Duugherty moved that the bill be read a second time
this day, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitu-
tion, Article III., section 27.
