Mr. Newcomer presented the petition of Samuel Mumma,
Peter G. Newcomer and ninety-eight other citizens of
Washington county, asking for the establishment of a bank
in the village of Boonsboro', in said county.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpor-
ations.
Also,
The petition of E. P. Fahmey, and one hundred others,
asking for a law to prohibit the sale of intoxicating liquors
within two miles of Fahmey's Meeting-house.
'Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Hurtt presented the petition of J. Broaden, and fifty-six other colored men, asking for some law to promote the
educational interest of our colored population.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.
Mr, Spencer presented the petition of citizens of Baltimore
county, for-the forfeiture of the charter of the " Falls Turn-
pike Road," for violation of the same.
Which, was read and referred to the Baltimore county dele-
gation.
Mr. Ardinger presented the petition of Elizabeth Harrigan,
.asking for a pension.
Also,
The petition of Jacob Seavolt, asking for a pension.
Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.
Mr. Smith presented the petition of Telitha L. Woolen,
widow of Zachary Woolen, to be placed upon the State pen."

two of the County Commissioners for Dorchester county,
