440 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 19,
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal, amend, and re-enact
chapter 369, passed at January Session, 1870, entitled an
Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Harford
county to sell a part of the Poor House farm, and to erect suit-
able buildings for the use of paupers of said county, and to
levy a sum of money for that purpose,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Bal-
timore and Drum Point Railroad Company, by increasing
the number of .directors of said Company,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1870, chapter
427, entitled an Act to prevent the increase of gates upon
the public roads in Anne Arundel and Prince George's-
counties, and to re-enact the same with an amendment,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel county, in their discretion, to di-
vide the election districts of said county into election pre-
cincts, and to designate the places of holding elections
therein,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay the claims of Daniel M. Thomas, Samuel Davis, Geo.
W. Murdock, James E. Tate, W. L. Pfieffer, Samuel Stew-
art, James B. Steele, J. W. Kalmey, Charles A. Wailes,
James Hopkins, James S. Franklin and John Turnbull, Jr.,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed tor
a third reading.
Mr. Streett gave notice that he would hereafter move a
reconsideration of the vote by which said hill had been or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading, for the purpose of
proposing an amendment thereto.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of chapter 266,
entitled an Act to regulate the manufacture and sale of oils
for illuminating purposes, passed January Session, 1870, and
to re-enact the same so as to read as follows,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
