Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to pay Luther Giddings, of Anne Arundel County,
for printing Public School Report, as per order of the Gov-
ernor.
Mr Kirk, submitted the following, That leave be granted
to the Committee on the Judiciary to introduce a bill,
entitled an Act to repeal sections 1. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
8, 9, 10. 11, 12, .13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21,
22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35 of
Article XI. of the Code of Public Local Laws for Frederick
County, sub-title "Almshouse," and re-enact the same to
read as follows.
Which was read.
Mr. Miller submitted the following amendment:
' Strike out the words "Committee on the Judiciary," and
insert: Frederick County Delegation,
"Which was rejected.
The question then recurring upon the motion submitted by
Mr. Kirk,
It' was decided in the affirmative.
On motion of Mr. Litzinger,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore County delegation to
introduce a bill to repeal the 72nd section of the Public Lo-
cal Laws of Baltimore County, and to add thereto sections
196 and 197, etc.
On motion of Mr. Franklin,
Leave was granted to the Worcester County delegation
to introduce a bill supplementary to an Act passed February
17th, 1847, entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees of
Buckingham Academy and Berlin Female Seminary.
On motion of Mr. Hardcastle,
Leave was granted to the Caroline County delegation and
Mr. Butler, of Talbot, to introduce a bill to exempt Caroline
County from the operation of chapter 231 of the Public Lo-
cal Laws passed at January Session of 1870.
On motion of Mr. dark, of Baltimore City,
Leave was granted to Messrs, dark, of Balto. city, Travers,
McCosker, T. H. Hamilton and Charles R, Hamilton, to in-
troduce a bill to authorize the Mayor and City Council of
' Baltimore to issue the bonds of said city to an amount not
exceeding two hundred thousand dollars, as provided by an
ordinance of the said Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
