The consideration of the order of the day was informally
postponed, and
The House proceeded to the consideration of House bills
entitled, to a second reading.

The bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 17, of Article
XCVI., of the Code of Public General Laws, and re-enact the
same with amendments,
Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Turner submitted the following amendment:
Sub-Section 17, strike out the words "twenty-six," and in-
sert the word "thirty."
Which was read, and
On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,
The further consideration of the bill, with pending amend-
ment, was informally postponed.
The bill, entitled an Act to allow an additional Clerk in
the office of the Treasurer of this State,
Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Stone submitted following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add the following as section 2;
"And be it enacted, that this Act shall take effect from the
dale of' its passage." ,
