NEGATIVE—Mr. Robinette—1. Said bill was then returned, to the Senate. The hour having arrived tor taking up the order of the day, On motion of Mr. Kirk, The consideration of the order of the day was informally postponed, and The House proceeded to the consideration of House bills entitled, to a second reading. The bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 17, of Article XCVI., of the Code of Public General Laws, and re-enact the same with amendments, Being upon a second reading, Mr. Turner submitted the following amendment: Sub-Section 17, strike out the words "twenty-six," and in- sert the word "thirty." Which was read, and On motion of Mr. Goldsborough, The further consideration of the bill, with pending amend- ment, was informally postponed. The bill, entitled an Act to allow an additional Clerk in the office of the Treasurer of this State, Being upon a second reading, Mr. Stone submitted following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Add the following as section 2; "And be it enacted, that this Act shall take effect from the dale of' its passage." , Which was adopted, and |
