Mr. Young, of Washington, submitted the following
amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 10, at the beginning of the 6th line, after the
word "be," strike out the remaining words of said section,
and insert in lieu thereof the words, Appropriated towards
building the said Court House.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Young, of Washington, submitted the following
amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 12, after the words, "And be it enacted," strikeout
the balance of said section and insert the following: That
the County Commissioners aforesaid shall have the bonds as-
aforesaid printed, and shall pay for the said printing out of
the fund appropriated to the building of the said Court
House, all their necessary and legitimate expenses incurred
in the discharge of the duties imposed by this Act; and that
the compensation, beyond actual expenses, shall not exceed
one hundred dollars for each of said Commissioners.
Which was adopted.
The bill, as amended, was then read a third time, and.
On motion of Mr. Young, of Washington,
The further consideration thereof was informally post-
poned.
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Mary-
land Jockey Club,
Being upon a third, reading,
Mr, Streett submitted the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 1, line 17, after the name of Thos. Swann" insert
the names of John Carrol Walsh and Evans Stanley
Rodgers.
Which was adopted.
The bill, as amended, was then read a third time and
passed by yeas and nays as follows :
