Mr. Streett submitted the following order :
Ordered, That the Librarian, under the direction of the-
Committee on the Library, be instructed to purchase fifty
copies of the Supplement to the Code.
Which was rejected.
Mr. Stone submitted the following message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 11th, 1872.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We have received your message asking the appointment of
a Joint Committee to report such joint rules as may be neces-
sary to change the mode of presenting bills passed by the
General Assembly to the Governor, and respectfully concur-
therein. We have appointed Messrs, Chapman, Henkle and
Streett on the part of the House.

Chief-Clerk.
Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
Mr. Griswold submitted the following message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 11, 1872.
Gentlemen of the Senate :
We have received your message proposing to proceed to-
the election of State Treasurer to-day, at 2 o'clock, and con-
cur therein.
We have appointed as tellers on the part of the House to
receive the ballots Messrs. Griswold and Banks.

Chief Clerk.
Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
Mr. Henkle submitted the following message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 11, 1872..
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We propose, by the concu-rence of your Honorable Body,.
the appointment of a Joint Committee, composed of five
members on the part of the House and three on the part of
the Senate, to visit and inspect the Deaf and Dumb Asylum
at Frederick City.
