The Speaker laid before the House the following Report of
Hon. John Merryman, Treasurer of Maryland :
TREASURER'S OFFICE,
Annapolis, Feb. 10,1872.
The Honorable,
the speaker of the House of Delegates:
SIR—ln obedience to the 6th Section of Article VI., of
the Constitution, I have the honor hereunto to submit to you,
true copies of the accounts rendered to and settled with the
Comptroller of the Treasury, from the 1st day of October,
187i, to the 10th day of February, 1872, inclusive, all of
which, upon examination, will be found satisfactory and cor-
rect.

and Means.
Mr. Steele presented the petition of Reuben Saylor and
twenty-eight others, asking, that the name of Lewis Green
