Mr. Banks, Chairman of the Committee on Manufactures, reported favorably, A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of chapter 266, entitled an Act to regulate the manufacture and sale of oils for illuminating purposes, passed January Sessions, 1870, and to re-enact the same so as to read as follows. Which was read a first time. Mr. Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations, reported favorably, The Senate bill, entitled an Act to amend the Act of Jan- uary Session, 1865, chapter 206, entitled "an Act to incor- porate the Lincoln Coal, Iron, Fire-brick and Oil Company of All egany County," by adding thereto certain additional sections, changing its name and providing for incr ease of the number of the Directors of the said Company, and of its capital stock, and for the appointment of a Vice President to said Company. Which, was read a second time. Mr. Scott, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favorably, A hill, entitled an Act to amend the Public Local Laws of Prince George's county, by adding thereto additional sec- tions to come in after section 182 of Article XVI,, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Prince George'i county," imposing a tax on dogs, and appropriating a por- tion of said taxes as a icward for killing foxes, and to the support of schools in said county. Which was read a first time. Mr. Phillips, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favorably, A bill, entitled an Act for the better protection of Birds in Frederick county. Which was read a first time. > Mr. Ardinger, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favorably, A bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to Article XX. of the Public Local Laws, entitled "Williams- port," to come in after section 131, of said Article, and to repeal section 132 of said Article, and re-enact the same with amendments.
