390 ' JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 14,
Leave, was granted to the Baltimore County delegation to
introduce a bill, to prevent stock running at large in and
around Waverly, in Baltimore county.
On motion of Mr. Banks,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill, to alter and amend the charter of the
Phoenix Manufacturing Company, of Baltimore county.
On motion of Mr. Hardcastle,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill, to authorize the Comptroller of the Treas-
ury to adjust and settle the accounts due by Collectors, Sher-
iffs, Clerks, Registers, and other receivers of public moneys,
in cases when the indebtedness accrued prior to and including
the year 1869.
On motion of Mr. Linthicum,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate the Washington, Montgomery,
Howard and Carroll Railroad Company.
On motion of Mr. Clark, of Baltimore City,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
. introduce a bill to amend the charter of the Union Railroad Company of Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Ardinger,
Leave was granted to the Washington delegation to in-
troduce a bill to authorize the Commissioners of Washing-
ton county to subscribe to the capital stock of the Williams-
port and Downsville Turnpike Company.
On motion of Mr. Cooper,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to report
a bin to pay J. S. Sanner for services rendered as officer of
the Oyster Police force.
On motion of Mr. Cooper,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Cooper, Foster and Chaisty
to repeal and amend Article LXXIV., of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Pilots."
On motion of Mr. Chaisty,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a hill relating to goods, wares and merchandise in
tore and in transit, and to make receipts and bills of lading
therefor negotiable.
