The bill, entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at the January Session of 1868, chapter 266, entitled a supplement to the Act passed at the January Session of 1864, chapter 116, entitled an Act to revive and extend an Act to incorpo- rate the Wicomico and Pocomoke Railroad Company, with amendments, passed at the December Session, 1847, and to re-enact the same with amendments, Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a 'third reading. The bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to audit and settle the claim of Mary O. Roberts, Was read a sword time and ordered to be engrossed for R third reading. The bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9 of the Act of Assembly of 1868, chapter 368, entitled an Act to incorporate the St. Martin's Inlet and Navigation Company, and to re-enact the same, with amendments, so as to read as follows, * Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a "third reading. The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes- sage :. BY THE SENATE, February 12, 3872. 'Gentlemen of the House of Delegates: We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body, the appointment of a Joint Committee of the two Houses four from the House of Delegates and three from the Senate, to carry into effect the requirements of section 45, of Article CXI. of the Constitution, relating to providing a simple And uniform system of charges in the offices of Clerks of Courts and Registers of Wills, in the counties of the State and the City of Baltimore, and the collection thereof. We have appointed Messrs. Henry, Claggett and Williams on the part of the Senate. By order, AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY, Secretary. |
