Which was read.
The Secretary of the' Senate delivered the following bills,
severally endorsed "Passed by Yeas and nays."
A bill, entitled an Act to amend the Act entitled an Act to
incorporate the Board of Beneficence of St. John's Indepen-
dent Methodist Protestant Church in the City of Baltimore,
passed at the January Session, 1864, chapter 144, by en-
larging the capacity of the said corporation to hold property.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal and re enact with amend-
ments, section 24, of Article XCIV., title "Treasurer," of
the Code of Public General Laws.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Ways and Means.
Also,
A bill, entitled a supplement to the Act entitled an Act
to incorporate the Franklin Saving Bank of Frederick, passed
January Session, 1856, chapter 329, repealing the fifth sec-
tion thereof, and re-enacting the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to release the sureties on the offi-
cial bonds of -Charles Parker, Collector of State taxes for
Worcester county,, for the years 1866 and 1867..
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to enable William H. Perot, an
alien, to hold, inherit and transmit real estate in the State
of Maryland.
Which . was read a first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Judiciary.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to extend the jurisdiction of Jus-
tices of the Peace for Talbot county, to cases of assault and
battery.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Judiciary.
