and Means.
Also,
The petition of Hamilton Lindsay, Geo. W, Abb, and
thirty other citizens of Liberty district, in Frederick county,
against a law dividing said district.
Which was read, and referred to a Select Committee al-
ready appointed.
Mr. Cooper presented the petition of John I. Bennett,
Jacob H. Taylor, and other citizens of Baltimore, praying
the passage of an Act to re-enact the Act of 1864, relative
to the inspection of fire-wood.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.
Mr. Robinette presented the petition of Henry Hanekamp,
and sixty-four other citizens of Allegany county, asking for
a reduction of charges for tolls and transportation on the Cum-
berland and Pennsylvania Railroad.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Cor-
p 'rations.
Mr. Coles presented the petition of Aaron Poland, asking
for a pension.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Chaisty presented the petition of John A. Thompson,
and forty others, shipbuilders, captains, and pilots, against
the repeal of the law establishing the Broadway and Locust
Point Steam Ferry, and for the continuance of said ferry.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corporations.
" Mr. Hurtt presented the petition of John H. Scott, and
ninety others, asking that no law be passed prohibiting the
catching of fish in the head waters of Chesapeake Bay with
gill nets.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ches-apeake; Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Baldwin presented the petition of Priscilla .Roach,
widow of Jesse Roach, asking for a pension.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.
Mr. Bond 'presented the petition of W, Solomon, and
others, asking for an election precinct at Solomon's Island,
in Calvert county.
