Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Steele presented the petition of David E. Stern and
thirty-six others, of Carroll county. asking the passage of a
law, subjecting stock and properly of the Baltimore and Ohio
.Railroad Company to taxation.
"Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Linthicum presented the petition of Charlotte Bewley,
asking for a pension.
, Also,
The petition of Anastatia Porter, of Howard county, ask-
ing for a pension.
Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.
Mr. Stewart presented the petition of Ann Green, former-
ly widow of John Willey, to be placed upon the State pen-
sion rolls.
Also,
The petition of Elizabeth Hawkins, widow of William
Hawkins, to be restored to the State pension rolls.
Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.
Mr. T. H. Hamilton presented the petition of George Ame-
ling, and forty-six others, employees in Stickney's Coal
Yard, protesting against the repeal of the charter of the
Broadway and Locust Point Steam Ferry.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.
Also,
The petition of Rebecca Oram, widow of Lloyd Oram, to
be restored to the State pension rolls.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Pen-
ions.
Mr. Foster presented the petition of G, King, and fifty-
seven other citizens, asking the abolishment of coopering in
the Penitentiary.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Manu-
factures.
Mr. Miller presented the petition of Samuel Riley, David
Grosswicke, mid filty-eight other citizens of Frederick county,
asking that the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad be taxed.
