A bill, entitled an Act to repeal the fifth section of Article
V. of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to appeals,
as amended and re-enacted by chapter 56, passed at January
Session, A. D. 1870.
Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to continue in force an Act to regu-
late and make uniform the fees of constables, passed January
Session, 1865, chapter 67,
Which was read a first time
Also, reported unfavorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to create a lien in favor of Brokers,
who may sell or negotiate the bale of any real estate or chat-
tels real, that may be within the State of Maryland.
The report was adopted.
Also, reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to amend and re-enact section 86 of
Article IV., of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore
City, entitled " Auctions," as amended by chapter 133 of the
Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at January
Session, 1870.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Select Com-
mittee on Auction Sales.
Also, reported,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 97 of Article
LXXXL, of the Code of Public General LAWS, entitled
" Revenue and Taxes," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, and asked that the Committee be discharged from the
further consideration thereof, and that the bill be referred to
the Committee on Ways and Means.
The Committee was discharged, and the bill so referred.
Mr. Streett, from the Committee on the Judiciary, re-ported favorably,
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to legalize the bequest
of Mrs. Ann Stump, late of Harford county, to the Deer
Creek Harmony Church, in Harford county.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Young, of Washington, acting Chairman of the Com-
