Mr. Streett submitted the following Order :
Ordered, That the Librarian be instructed to furnish each
delegation with a copy of the supplement to the Code, the
same to be returned to the Library at the end of the Session.
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Waller,
Leave was granted the Somerset delegation to introduce &
bill, to repeal so much of chapter 189, Laws of 1870, as re-
lates to Somerset county, commonly known as the "Dog
Law."
On motion of Mr. Miller,
Leave was granted the Committee on Pensions to introduce
a bill, amending the Act of 1870, chapter 477, relating to
"Pensions of Soldiers and Widows of Soldiers of the war of
1812," by adding thereto certain names omitted in said Act.
On motion of Mr. dark,
Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill, to amend and re-enact the eighty-fifth and eighty-
sixth sections of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of' Baltimore City, entitled "Auctions,"
On motion of Mr. McColgan,
The following members were added to the Select Commit-
tee, on yesterday appointed, to whom was referred the petition
of George Robinson, Clerk of the Superior Court, et cetera:
Messrs. Butler, Clark, of Montgomery, Waller, and Colton,
of Baltimore City.
Mr. Duvall submitted the following
JOINT RESOLUTION:
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Senators and Representatives of this State, in the Congress
of the United States, are hereby requested to use their best
efforts to procure the repeal of chapter 173, of the Act of
Congress of 1864, or so much thereof as imposes a federal
revenue tax on all property, real and personal, inherited by
will, or the intestate laws of any State ; and that a copy of
this resolution be forwarded by the proper officer, to each ones
of our Senators and Representatives in Congress.
Which was read a first time, and
On motion of Mr. Stone,
Referred to the Committee on Federal Relations.7
