Decided in the negative.
The question then recurring upon the motion submitted
by Mr. Kirk.
It was concurred in, and the bill ordered to be printed, and
the further consideration thereof was postponed, and the bill
Hade the order of the day lor Tuesday next, 13th inst. '
On motion of Mr. Chapman, (the rules being suspended,)
Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill, entitled an Act to pay Squill Ann Johnson, of
Charles county, the widow of Wm. -Johnson, a soldier of the
war of 1812, an annual pension of eighty dollars.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary, to
introduce a bill, entitled an Act to add the following coitions
to Article LXXV. of the Code, sub-title " Practice," to
come in after section 58.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee oil the Judiciary to
introduce a bill, entitled an Act to add two additional sec-
tions to Article XXIV., of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled "Conveyancing."
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-duce a bill, authorizing the County Commissioners of Charles
county to review and correct the valuation of the real estate
in said county assessed to Elizabeth E. Matthews.
On motion of Mr. Young, of Washington, (the rules be-ing suspended,)
The House took up for consideration the Senate bill, directing the Commissioner's of Washinton county to issue
bonds to raise money to build a Court House in said county,
and appointing Commissioners to contract to erect the same,
When,
On motion of Mr. Young, of Washington,
Said bill, together with the minority report thereon, was
made the order of the day for tomorrow, 9th inst., at one
o'clock, P. M.
On motion of Mr. Miller,
At 3 o'clock, P. M,, the House adjourned.
