CHAPTER 441.
AN ACT to pay M. A. Newell the sum of six hun-
dred and twenty dollars, for clerical assistance
hired by him to aid in preparing two annual re-
ports upon the condition of the Public Schools of
the State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be
; and he is hereby authorized and. directed to issue
his warrant to the Treasurer to pay to M. A. Newell
the sum of six hundred and twenty dollars, in full
for hire of clerks employed by him in making up
two annual reports upon the condition of the Public
Schools of the State.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 442.
AN ACT to amend article ninety-eight of the Code
of Public General Laws, title " Wild-Fowl," by
adding an additional section thereto, allowing the
the shooting of water-fowl from sink-boats within
the limits of "Dorchester county, on certain days in
each week.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by tin' General Assembly of
Maryland, That article ninety-eight of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Wild-Fowl," be and
the same is hereby amended by adding at the end
thereof the following section as section sixteen:
16. Nothing in this article shall be construed to
prohibit any citizen or citizens of Dorchester county,
