CHAPTER 428.
AN ACT to change the name of Potato Neck: Elec-
tion District, in Somerset county, to Fairmount
Election District.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Election District in Somerset
.county, known as Potato Neck Election District, is
changed, and shall hereafter be called Fairmount
Election District.
SEC. 2. And be, it enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 429.
AN, ACT to pay C. C. Magruder, Jr., a sum of
money due him for services rendered the State.
WHEREAS, by file Acts of the General Assembly
passed at January session, eighteen hundred and
seventy, chapter three hundred and forty-three, the
Comptroller of the Treasury was authorized and direc-
ted to issue his warrant on the Treasurer, in favor of
C. C. Magruder, Jr., for services rendered the State
of Maryland as referee in the cases of the State
against John R. Baden, former Sheriff" of Prince
'George's county; and the sum of fifty dollars due
for said services was inadvertently omitted; therefore,
SECTION' 1. Be it enacted by the General Assemble of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be
and he is hereby authorized and required to issue
his warrant on the Treasurer, in favor of the said O.
C. Magruder, Jr., for the sum of fifty dollars, to be
paid out of any money not otherwise appropriated,
in the Treasury.
