330 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS {Feb. 8.
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 872, Article IV.
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled " City of Balti-
more," sub-title ' Taxes and Loans," and to enact the fol-lowing in lieu thereof.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Litzinger, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act, to extend the jurisdiction of Jus-
tices of the Peace for Baltimore county to cases of assault
and battery.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Bowie, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 47, 48 and 50, of
Article XVI. of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
Prince George's county, under the head of Collectors, enact-
ed by the Act of 1868, chapter 330, and sections 44, 45, 49,
-55 and 56, of said Article XVI., under same head, enacted
by the Act of 1870, chapter 216, and to repeal sections 37,
49, 50, 56 and 57, of Article LXXXI. of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled Revenue and Taxes, in so far as the
same may relate to Prince George's county, and to re-enact
the following as sections 44, 45, 47, 48, 49, 60, 55 and 66,
of Article XVI. of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
Prince George's county, under the head of Collectors, in their
stead.
Which was read a first time, and ordered to be printed.
Mr. Duvall, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1870, chapter
427, entitled an Act to prevent the increase of gates upon the
public roads, in Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a first, and ordered to be printed. \
Mr. Radcliffe, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act for the better protection of fish
within the waters of Dorchester county.
