Fleming, Jacob T. Eversole, George Barnes, Edward H.
Friend and Emanuel Bombayer, trustees, to sell a certain
tract of land belonging to the Methodist Protestant Church,
of Clearspring, in Washington county, and to authorize them
to give a deed for the same.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Dougherty, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Western and
Tangier Railroad Company in Somerset county.
Which was read a first time.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
severally endorsed "Passed by yeas and nays."
A bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Union
Bridge, in Carroll county.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Oarroll
delegation.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 47, Article XVIII.
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Clerks of
Courts," and .to re-enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.
Also, returned
The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal chapter 189,
passed at- the January Session, 1870, relating to Queen
Anne's, Dorchester and Somerset counties, and for reim-
bursing owners of sheep killed by dogs, commonly known as
the Dog Law,
Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."
The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,
The House proceeded to the consideration of the unfinished.

The bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 82, 83, 84, 85,
87 and 89, as amended by the Act of 1862, chapter 55, and
section 94 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick
county, relating to the Mayor, Aldermen and Common Coun-
cil of Frederick: City, and re-enact substitutes therefor.
