CHAPTER 395.
AN ACT to repeal section two of the Act of eighteen
hundred and sixty-eight, chapter two hundred and
eight, relating to the arrearages of the academic
fund of Howard county, and to provide for the
disbursement of the said fund for the benefit of
the primary schools of said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the School Commissioners of Howard
county be and they are hereby authorized, if in their
judgment it should be necessary, to apply to the use
of the primary schools of said county the sums of
money which have been, or which hereafter may be,
paid to them on account of academic or high school
fund, to which said county is entitled.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the second section
of the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,
chapter two hundred and eight, which provides that
the School Commissioners of Howard county shall
employ the said sum of money for the purpose of
organizing and supporting a high school in said.
county, and for no other purpose whatever, be and
the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
