Ordered, That the Committee appointed to inquire into
the cause of the disasters to the ice-boats Chesapeake and
Maryland, be authorized to hold its sessions in Baltimore on
and alter Tuesday, 13th instant to, and to send for persons and
papers, and examine witnesses on oath.
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Dougherty,
Leave was granted to the Somerset delegation to introduce
a bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Westover and Tan-
gier Railroad Company.
On motion of Mr. Miller,
Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to intro-
duce a bill, entitled an Act to prevent swine from running
at large in the streets, lanes and alleys contiguous to Buck-ittsville, in Frederick county.
On motion of Mr. Clark, of Baltimore City,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a hill, to create a lien in favor of Brokers, who
may sell or negotiate the sale of any real estate, or chattels
real that may be within the State of Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Ardinger,
Leave was granted to the Washington delegation to intro
dace a bill, to amend the Corporation Laws of Williamsport,.
Washington county.
On motion of Mr. Litzinger, '
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill to regulate the sales of property sold for
taxes and assessments, and to add an additional section to
Article LXXXIV. of the Public General Laws, entitled
"Sales and Returns.
OB motion of Mr. Chaisty,
Leave was granted to a Select Committee, consisting of
Messrs. Chaisty, Foster, Griswold, Henkle, Turner, Linthi-cum and Riley, to introduce a bill to aid in the maintenance
of a Free Infirmary in connection with the Baltimore Col-
lege of Dental Surgery.
On motion of Mr. McColgan,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal section 59 of chapter 471 of the
Acts of 1870, and re-enact the same with, amendments.
