CHAPTER 375.
AN ACT to enable the Judges of the Circuit Court
of Somerset county to make certain recommenda-
tions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sometime during the month of May,
in each year, the State's Attorney for Somerset
county shall make out and present to the Judges of
the Circuit Court of Somerset county, or any one of
them, a full and accurate statement of all charges
and claims for work performed as State's Attorney
for the year ending at the date of the making of the
said statement; and the said Judges or Judge shall
examine said statement, and fix and determine that
shall be a proper and adequate compensation to the
said State's Attorney for the work therein set forth,
and shall certify the said amount to the County
Commissioners of Somerset county, to be by them
levied at the next ensuing levy for the use of the said
State's Attorney; provided, however, that such re-
commendation, so far as aforesaid to be made, shall
not bind the said commissioners, but they shall have
full power to increase or diminish said amount at
their sound discretion.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
