CHAPTER 373.
AN ACT to repeal section eight of article thirteen,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " Howard
county," sub-title " County Commissioners," as
amended by the Act of eighteen hundred and
sixty-eight, chapter three hundred and ninety-five,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be It enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section eight of article thirteen, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title " Howard
county," sub-title " County Commissioners," as
amended by the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty-
eight, chapter three hundred and ninety-five, be and
the same is hereby repealed, and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
SEC. 8. The collectors for the first, second. and.
third collection districts shall each receive, on all
Bums by them respectively collected and paid over
or accounted for to the County Commissioners, four
per cent.; and the said County Commissioners shall,
in the general levy for State and county taxes, in-
clude an amount to cover the commission for collect-
ing the whole of said taxes, at the rates aforesaid.
Sue. 2. And be it enacted. That tins Act shall take
effect from and after the first Monday in January, in
the year eighteen hundred and seventy-four.
