of the Court of Appeals, for recording the laws of the
present session of the General Assembly, the sum of
tour hundred and fifty dollars; to Philip. Thomas," 1.
Nevitt Steele and S. Teakle Wallace, each the sum
of seven thousand dollars, to pay plaintiff's costs in
cases of the State vs. Baltimore and Ohio Railroad,
fifteen hundred and thirty-nine dollars and ten cents
for services as counsel for the State in the cases of
the State vs. Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company;
provided they shall prosecute the several cases to a
final determination in the court '> last resort of the
this State. For deficiencies in appropriations for eigh-
teen hundred and seventy-one: to the Annapolis
Gas Company, fourteen hundred and nine dollars
and six cents; to the Columbia Institute of Washing-
ton city for the instruction of the deaf and dumb,
prior to their removal to Frederick, three thousand
nine hundred and fifty dollars; to balance due for
coal for eighteen hundred and seventy-one, payable
to C. Canon, cashier, assignee, fourteen hundred and
eighteen dollars and eighty-three cents.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the Treasurer of the
State shall, upon the warrant of the Comptroller,
disburse the said sums of money herein appropriated
for the objects and. purposes specified, to or upon
the order of the person or persons, bodies politic or
corporate, severally entitled to receive the same.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on and after the date of its passage.
