shall constitute a Board of Management, who shall
have the control of the said corporation, and shall
hold their offices until their successors are chosen,
exercising for the time being all the rights, powers,
and privileges hereby granted to the said corpora-
tion.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That until the first elec-
tion of directors under this Act of Incorporation, the
parties named in the first section shall exercise all
the powers and privileges hereby ('offered.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 361.
AN ACT authorizing the County Commission-
ers of Carroll county, to adjust and settle the
accounts of Stephen R. Gore, deceased, late collec-
tor of county taxes of Carroll county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Carroll
county be and they are hereby authorized to adjust
the accounts of Stephen R. Gore, deceased, late col-
lector of county taxes in said county, for the years
eighteen hundred and fifty-five, eighteen hundred
and fifty-six and eighteen hundred and fifty-seven;
and if, in their discretion, they deem it just and equit-
able so to do they are authorized to compromise or
dismiss the suits now pending against the sureties
upon the official bonds of the said Stephen R. Gore,
late collector as aforesaid, and to release said sureties
from all liability on said bonds.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
