CHAPTER 362.
AN ACT to amend sections forty and forty-one of
article twenty-two, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Worcester county," sub-title "Elec-
tions," as amended by Acts passed January session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, chapter eighty.
SECTION 1. -Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections forty and forty-one of article
twenty-two, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Worcester county," sub-title "Elections," as
amended by Acts passed January session, eighteen
hundred and sixty-eight, chapter eighty, be and the
same are hereby repealed, and the following enacted
in lieu thereof:
40. Worcester county is divided into eight elec-
tion districts, and the said districts are named and
numbered, as follows: Newtown district, number
one; Snow Hill district, number two; Berlin dis-
trict, number three; Newark district, number four;
Saint Martin's district, number five; Colbourne's
district, number six, Atkinson's district, number
seven; Stockton district, number eight; and all elec-
tions for public officers shall be held in each of said
districts at the place therein established for that pur-
pose, or may hereafter be established by law.
41. The following are the boundaries of Newtown,
or election district number one: commencing at the
Pocomoke "River, at Cottingham's Ferry, and run-
ning by and with the county road leading from said
ferry, to the county road leading from Snow Hill to
Newtown, by way of Davis' Cross Roads; thence by
and with the county road to a place by the name of
the " Sheep House," and thence in a direct course
by survey to the line of the State of Virginia; all of
the territory west of said boundary line is included
in the boundaries of said election district, number
one.
For Snow Hill Election District, number two, the
boundaries shall be the same as are now established
by law, and shall continue to be the limits of said
district.
