association, and under its corporate seal, showing
the location of the principal office established or pur-
posed to be established by said company or association
within this State, and also the location of any subor-
dinate office or offices so established or proposed to
be established by the said company or association
within this State; and said statement shall also con-
tain an agreement that the services of legal process
upon any of its said officers shall be a sufficient ser-
vice upon said company or association.
SEC. 4. And be if further enacted. That after any
such company or association shall have complied
with the provisions of the preceding section of this
Act, and before any of the subordinate agents or
employees of any such company or association shall
transact any business at any of said subordinate office,
the said company or association shall cause to be paid.
to the Comptroller of the Treasury, for the agent of
each subordinate office located as aforesaid, the sum
of two dollars, upon receipt whereof the said Comp-
troller shall have been so made as aforesaid, to trans-
act the business of the said company at their said
respective subordinate offices; and any such com-
pany or association thereafter desiring to establish
an additional office or offices, shall 'tile an additional
statement setting forth the location of the same, and
an agreement in regard to services of legal process,
as aforesaid, and shall pay the sum of two dollars
for each license to said additional agent or agents,
as aforesaid.
SEC. 5. And be. It further enacted. That the princi-
pal cashier, or other principal officers or agents of
any such company or association, which shall have
transacted business in this State under tins Act, or
the agent or employee in charge of the principal
office of such company, shall annually, on the first
day of June, report under oath to the Comptroller
of the Treasury the whole amount of earnings
charged or received by or on account of such com-
pany or association, for business done in tills State
for the year or a part of a year, ending on the pre-
ceding thirty-first day of December, which report
shall show the gross amounts of earnings so charged
