or places convenient to the voters of said Election
District, number two, sit with open doors, from nine
o'clock A. M. until six o'clock P. M.; and he shall
give at least ten days' notice of the time and
place of setting, by publication in all the papers pub-
lished in said Election District number two; and lie
shall cause to be published, at least ten days prior to
said time of sitting, by handbills extensively circu-
lated in said election district, the names of all per-
sons upon the present book of registration of said
election district who have not been re-registered by
said officer of registration under the third section of
this? Act.
SEC. 5. And he it enacted. That at the times and
places published by said officer of registration, lie
shall proceed to re-register all the qualified voters of
said Election District, number two, residing therein,
who shall apply in person to said officer of registra-
tion to be re-registered; provided, the person apply-
ing has not been already re-registered under the provi- sions of this Act; and pro tided, also, the name of said
person appears upon the present book of registration
of said election district; and furthermore, he shall reg-
ister the names of all other qualified voters of said dis-
trict who shall apply for registration, so that the lists
prepared by him, in accordance with tins Act, shall
contain the names of all the qualified voters of said
district, arranged according to precincts, whether
they have been previously registered or not.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted. That said officer of regis-
tration, in the discharge of the duties required of
him by this Act, shall be governed by the provisions
of the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland
approved April eighth, eighteen hundred and sev-
enty, chapter four hundred and fifty-nine, so far as
the same may be applicable thereto.
SEC. 7. And he it enacted, That immediately after
the expiration of the four successive weeks specified
in the fourth section of this Act, said officer of regis-
tration shall proceed, without delay, to make or cause
to be made alphabetical lists of the qualified voters
of said election election district, such as is required
