election have written or printed upon them the
words " For the new act of Incorporation," then this
act shall go into full effect on the first day of June
next; but if the majority of said ballots have written
or printed on them the words " Against the new act
of Incorporation," then this Act shall be utterly null
and void.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall go
into effect from the date of its passage, so far as it
relates to the election provided for in the last pre-
ceding section, but no further.

CHAPTER 348.
AN ACT to repeal sections eighty-two, eighty-three,
eighty-four, eighty-five and eighty-seven of article
eleven, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Frederick county," sub-title "Frederick," and
to enact the following sections and sub-sections in
lieu of and as substitutes therefor:
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections eighty-two, eighty-three,.
eighty-four, eighty-five and eighty-seven, of article
eleven, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Freder-
ick county, relating to the Mayor, Aldermen, and
Common Council of Frederick, be and the same are
hereby repealed, and the following sections and sub- sections be enacted in lieu of and as substituted
therefor.
SEC. 82. The limits of Frederick city are as de-
scribed in section one hundred and seventy-six, of
an Act of Assembly of Maryland, passed January
session, eighteen hundred and seventy, chapter three
hundred and fourteen, and the boundaries of the
