Act it shall not be lawful for any person or persons
to enclose any of the streets, lanes or alleys, or any
part of the streets, lanes or alleys as laid down in
Popleton's plat of the town of Franklin, in Balti-
more county, under the penalty of twenty dollars
for each and every offence, and five dollars for each
and every day that such street, lane or alley, or any
part of such street, lane or alley, shall remain, in
whole or in part, enclosed.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That if any of the said
streets, lanes or alleys of the said town of Franklin,
as laid down in aforesaid plat thereof, shall have
been enclosed in whole or in part, and such street,
lane or alley which may have been enclosed in whole
or in part, shall not be reopened within sixty days
after the passage of this Act, the person or persons
who may have enclosed any such street, lane or alley,
in whole or in part, shall forfeit and pay the sum of
two dollars for each and every day the same shall
continue to be enclosed, after a written notice of the
passage of this Act shall have been given to the of-
fending party, by any person or persons owning
property in the said town of Franklin.
SEC. 3. And he it enacted. That it shall not be law-
ful for any person or persons to enclose any of the
public grounds, as laid down in the aforesaid plat of
the town of" Franklin, under the penalty of twenty
dollars fur each and every offence, and five dollars
for each and every day that any of said public
grounds shall remain, in whole or in part, enclosed.
SEC. 4. And he it enacted, That if any of said pub-
lic grounds shall have been enclosed in whole or in
part, except for a public park, and the enclosing ma-
terial shall not be removed therefrom within sixty
days after the passage of this Act, the person or per-
sons who may have enclosed the same, or the person
or persons holding or occupying the ground or
grounds, shall forfeit and pay the sum of two dol-
lars for each and every day the same shall continue
in whole or in part.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted. That it shall not be law-
ful for any person to cut any of the live growing
