money be paid out of the) appropriation to be made-
by this General Assembly; for the support of the
militia, twenty-five thousand dollars, to be expended
under the supervision of the Governor, in accordance
with the provisions of the Act of eighteen hundred
and seventy; for the payment of pensions granted by
Acts and resolutions of the General Assembly, sixty
thousand dollars.
CONTINGENT FUND.
To the Executive for the contingent fund provided
in the constitution, to lie placed at Ids disposal, seven
thousand five hundred dollars; for the contingent
fund of the Treasury Department, fifteen hundred
dollars; for printing brink, licenses, protests, circulars,
warrants and oilier books for the Comptroller's office
two thousand dollars; for the contingent fund of the
Library, including the expense of postage, porterage-
and freight, stationery tor the use of the office, menial
services, advertising and printing, five hundred dol-
lars; for the augmentation of the Library, two thou-
sand five hundred dollars; for the cost of printing
the annual reports of the Comptroller, one thousand
dollars; for the expense of advertising the list of
foreign insurance agents, five hundred dollars; for
the expense of fuel and lights for public buildings
and grounds, five thousand dollars, to be expended
under the direction and control of" Augustus Gassa-
way, Secretary of the Senate; for the contingent fund,
for the Commissioners of the Land Office, four hun-
dred dollars; for the postage of the Executive and
Treasury Department, the Land Office, the secretary
of the Senate and Chief Clerk of the House of Dele-
gates, five 'hundred dollars; for additional temporary
clerical assistance in the Comptroller's Office, and
traveling expenses of Comptroller in the performance
of duties imposed by law, or so much thereof as may
be necessary, two thousand five hundred dollars.
BALTIMORE CITY.
To the members of the Appeal Tax Court, of Bal-
timore city, fifty dollars each, one hundred and. fifty
dollars; to the Register of Baltimore city, three hun-
dred dollars; to the Maryland Penitentiary for so
